香港擁有世界數一數二密集的交通網絡，從港鐵（MTR）、叮叮車、天星小輪，到速度驚人的紅頂小巴，幾乎能抵達每個角落。五天四夜裡，我們幾乎把所有交通工具都搭過一輪，也踩過不少小雷。這篇整理了香港最實用的交通方式、八達通使用技巧，以及機場往返、市區移動的省錢方法，讓第一次自由行也能快速融入香港的節奏。
Hong Kong has one of the densest transit networks in the world. MTR, ding ding tram, Star Ferry, red minibuses, and the Airport Express together cover almost everywhere you'd want to go. Over five days we used all of them, and found out through trial and error where each one makes sense. This guide covers the most practical options, how to use the Octopus card, and how to get between the airport and the city without spending more than necessary.

The Octopus Card｜The First Thing to Get
萬能八達通：香港自由行必備交通卡
來香港自由行，第一件事就是準備一張八達通。
除了搭乘港鐵、公車、叮叮車、天星小輪之外，便利商店、超市、部分餐廳與販賣機也都能直接感應付款，是香港最方便的電子票證。
遊客建議使用方式
・抵達機場即可購買或領取旅客版八達通。
・可於港鐵站、便利商店等地加值。
・離境前可至指定服務櫃檯辦理退卡或退款（依卡片種類有所不同，建議購買前確認最新規定）。
我們這趟旅程最驚險的插曲，就是最後一天差點把八達通遺忘在公園長椅上。
幸好最後順利找回，不然旅程真的差點留下最大的遺憾。

The Octopus card is the first thing to sort out when you arrive.
It works on the MTR, buses, the ding ding tram, the Star Ferry, and red minibuses. It also pays at convenience stores, supermarkets, some restaurants, and vending machines. One card, almost everything.
・Pick one up at the airport the moment you land. Tourist versions are available at the arrival hall.
・Top up at any MTR station or convenience store.
・Before leaving, you can refund the remaining balance at designated service counters. Rules vary depending on the card type, so check the current terms before purchasing.
The most stressful moment of this trip involved an Octopus card left on a park bench on the last day.
We ran back and found it exactly where it had been sitting, waiting. Keep track of yours.

Red Minibus｜The Most Local Way to Move
紅 Van 小巴：最貼近香港日常的交通工具
如果想體驗香港最具代表性的在地交通，可以試著搭一次紅頂小巴。
相比港鐵，小巴路線更深入住宅區，車速也相對明快，因此成為不少香港人的日常通勤選擇。
搭乘前要知道
・部分路線沒有固定停靠站，下車前需要提前提醒司機。
・多數路線支援八達通，但仍有部分只收現金，建議事先確認。
・Google Maps 幾乎都能查詢路線，新手也不用太擔心。
我們最後一天就是搭著紅 Van 前往機場快線轉乘站，短短幾分鐘，就感受到香港人快節奏的移動方式。

If you want to travel the way most Hong Kong residents actually do, take a red minibus at least once.
Routes go deeper into residential areas than the MTR reaches, and the pace is considerably faster. It's an efficient, slightly unpredictable experience.
・Some routes don't have fixed stops. Tell the driver where you want to get off before you arrive.
・Most routes accept the Octopus card, but some are cash only. Check in advance.
・Google Maps covers most red minibus routes, so navigation isn't as difficult as it sounds.
On the last day, we took a red minibus to the Airport Express transfer station. A few minutes, and a clear sense of how quickly this city moves when it needs to.

Airport Express: the smart way in and out
機場快線：最快速往返香港機場
如果預算允許，香港機場快線（Airport Express）依然是最有效率的交通方式。
・香港站往返機場最快約 24 分鐘。
・班距短、準時且舒適。
・2–4 人同行可購買多人套票，比單獨刷八達通更划算。
・香港站、九龍站提供市區預辦登機服務（依航空公司而定）。
我們回程就是在站務人員的建議下改買兩人套票，不僅省下一些交通費，也一路欣賞窗外的海景，為香港旅程畫下舒服的句點。
If the budget allows, the Airport Express is still the most efficient option for getting between the city and the airport.
・Hong Kong Station to the airport in around 24 minutes
・Frequent, punctual, and comfortable
・Groups of 2 to 4 can purchase a multi-person ticket, which works out cheaper than tapping individually
・In-town check-in is available at Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station for some airlines, letting you check bags before you even board the train
On the way back, a staff member suggested we switch to the two-person ticket. It was cheaper, and the stretch between Tsing Yi and the airport runs along the coast. A good way to leave.

・Stand on the right on escalators, leave the left side clear. This is observed consistently during peak hours and expected everywhere else too.
・MTR transfe distances can be longer than they look on the map. Large interchange stations sometimes involve five to ten minutes of walking. Build in time for this.
・Keep at least HKD$50 on your Octopus card at all times. Running out at the wrong moment will slow everything down.
・First-time visitors: download Google Maps or the MTR Mobile app before arrival. Both handle route planning well.
