第一次來香港，多數人都是用「景點」來記住這座城市。太平山頂、維多利亞港、迪士尼、女人街……每一個地方都代表著大家對香港的第一印象。
但真正走訪之後，我反而覺得，比起用景點認識香港，不如用「街區」來理解這座城市。在這片不大的土地上，每一個區域都有自己的生活節奏與城市性格。
從尖沙咀到中環，只需要搭一趟天星小輪；從旺角到北角，也只是幾站地鐵的距離。然而短短幾公里之間，卻能感受到截然不同的香港。有港片裡熟悉的街景、有亞洲金融中心的摩天大樓、有最貼近庶民生活的巷弄，也有老香港仍然留存的生活痕跡。
但真正走訪之後，我反而覺得，比起用景點認識香港，不如用「街區」來理解這座城市。在這片不大的土地上，每一個區域都有自己的生活節奏與城市性格。
從尖沙咀到中環，只需要搭一趟天星小輪；從旺角到北角，也只是幾站地鐵的距離。然而短短幾公里之間，卻能感受到截然不同的香港。有港片裡熟悉的街景、有亞洲金融中心的摩天大樓、有最貼近庶民生活的巷弄，也有老香港仍然留存的生活痕跡。
Most first-time visitors to Hong Kong remember it through its landmarks. The Peak, Victoria Harbour, Disneyland, Ladies' Market. Each one stands in for a version of the city that's easy to hold onto. But after actually walking through it, I found that neighbourhoods tell a more honest story than attractions do. On a piece of land this compact, each area has developed its own tempo and character. A single Star Ferry ride separates Tsim Sha Tsui from Central. A few MTR stops connect Mong Kok to North Point. Within those short distances, the city changes completely. Familiar street scenes from Hong Kong films, towers that define Asia's financial skyline, alleyways that belong entirely to the people who live in them, traces of an older Hong Kong that haven't disappeared yet.

這裡聚集了五星級飯店、精品商場、廉價旅館、印度餐廳、世界各地的旅人，以及來自不同國家的移民。
最有趣的是，這些看似毫無關聯的世界，往往只隔著一條街。
前一秒還在海港城欣賞精品櫥窗，轉個彎走進重慶大廈，又像瞬間踏進另一個充滿移民故事的世界。
尖沙咀讓我真正感受到，香港從來不是單一文化，而是一座持續流動、不斷交會的國際城市。

If Hong Kong is a stage, Tsim Sha Tsui is where everything begins. Five-star hotels and budget guesthouses occupy the same blocks. Luxury malls and Indian restaurants share the same street. Travellers from every part of the world pass through, alongside immigrants who have made this their permanent address. What makes it interesting is how close together these worlds sit. One moment you're looking at a designer window display in Harbour City, and the next you've walked into Chungking Mansions, which operates on an entirely different set of rules. Tsim Sha Tsui is where you understand, quickly, that Hong Kong has never been a single culture. It's a city in constant motion, where things keep arriving and intersecting.

If Tsim Sha Tsui is Hong Kong's point of entry to the world, Central is its most concentrated expression. Land here is too scarce and too valuable to build outward, so the city builds up. The towers aren't just architecture. They're a way of surviving. In the morning, people in suits move through the streets at a pace that doesn't leave room for hesitation. At lunch, financial workers eat standing up at a street corner or squeezed into a cha chaan teng. Turn into the alley beside any of these towers and you'll find a tea restaurant that has been there for decades, doing exactly what it has always done. The most compelling thing about Central is that the old and the new have never fully separated. A century-old shop and a global financial firm can occupy the same street without either one looking out of place.

如果想真正理解香港人的生活節奏，我最推薦來旺角。
這裡不像中環，展示香港對世界的印象，而是展示香港的生活節奏。
密密麻麻的招牌、人潮不斷流動的街道，以及住宅、商業、餐飲、娛樂全部擠在同一個空間裡。
走在旺角，很容易理解香港人為什麼如此重視效率。
店面小，所以出餐速度快；空間有限，所以發展出併桌文化；租金昂貴，因此每一平方公尺都必須創造最大的價值。
旺角，把「寸土寸金」這四個字演繹得淋漓盡致。
這裡不像中環，展示香港對世界的印象，而是展示香港的生活節奏。

If you want to understand how Hong Kong actually moves, Mong Kok is the place to start. This isn't the Hong Kong that presents itself to the world the way Central does. It's the Hong Kong that has no reason to present itself to anyone. Signs stacked on signs, streets that never stop moving, residential blocks and restaurants and shops and entertainment all compressed into the same space. Walking through Mong Kok, it becomes obvious why efficiency matters so much here. Kitchens are small, so food comes out fast. Space is limited, so sharing a table with strangers is just how things work. Rent is high, so every square metre has to earn its place. Mong Kok is the most literal demonstration of what it means to make the most of very little.
North Point｜An Older Pace, Still Intact

如果說尖沙咀屬於旅者，中環屬於商業，那麼北角更像屬於在地人。
早晨，居民提著菜籃走進街市；下午，老人坐在街角聊天；叮叮車依舊慢慢穿過高樓之間。
站在怪獸大廈向上仰望，那一瞬間，腦中浮現了一個問題：
在如此高密度的城市裡，每一個人該如何找到屬於自己的位置？
北角沒有尖沙咀的熱鬧，也沒有中環的壓迫。
它保留了一種屬於老香港的生活節奏，也讓人在快速運轉的城市裡，找到片刻喘息。

If Tsim Sha Tsui belongs to travellers and Central belongs to finance, North Point belongs to the people who actually live here. In the morning, residents carry baskets into the wet market. In the afternoon, older people sit at street corners and talk. The ding ding tram passes slowly between the buildings, as it always has. Standing at the base of the Monster Building and looking up, a question comes: in a city this dense, how does anyone find their own space within it? North Point doesn't have the noise of Tsim Sha Tsui or the pressure of Central. It holds onto a pace that feels like an older version of Hong Kong, and offers something the rest of the city rarely does: a moment to slow down.

但當離開港島與九龍後，新界展現的是另一種香港。
沙田沒有中環的壓迫，也沒有旺角的人潮。
這裡有住宅、有公園、有家庭，也有香港人重要的娛樂文化——賽馬。
走進沙田馬場，看見的不只是賽事，而是香港人在工作之外，另一種生活樣貌。
香港並不只有繁華，它也是一座真正能生活的城市。

Most visitors picture Hong Kong as towers, neon, shopping, and crowds. Cross from Hong Kong Island and Kowloon into the New Territories, and a different city appears. Sha Tin has none of Central's pressure and none of Mong Kok's density. There are housing estates, parks, families, and the racecourse, which is less about gambling than it is about how Hong Kong spends a Sunday. Walking into Sha Tin Racecourse on a race day, what you see isn't just a sporting event. It's how people here live when they're not working. Hong Kong isn't only glamour. It's also a city where ordinary life actually happens.
Reflection
Azuki旅行結語
香港：擁擠、快速、有時甚至讓人疲憊。但每一個街區都發展出鮮明的性格。尖沙咀，看見世界如何在這裡交會。中環，看見資本如何改變城市的天際線。旺角，看見人在有限的空間裡努力生活。北角，看見老香港依然存在的生活痕跡。沙田，則看見香港除了金融中心之外，更貼近日常的一面。在香港讓我看見：人在有限的土地裡，如何創造無限的生活方式。
Hong Kong is crowded, fast, and sometimes tiring. But each neighbourhood has developed its own clear character. Tsim Sha Tsui shows you how the world converges here. Central shows you what capital does to a skyline. Mong Kok shows you people making the most of very little space. North Point shows you that an older Hong Kong still exists. Sha Tin shows you the city when it isn't performing for anyone. What Hong Kong made me understand is this: when land is limited, life doesn't shrink. It finds another way to expand.
